Alyssa Ashley is an affordable fragrance line created in the late 1960s. It was originally founded as a division of the French luxury perfume brand of Houbigant, but from its earliest days it took a very different approach: Alyssa Ashley’s scents were aimed at the youth culture of the Sixties, and they catered to the current taste for unisex, natural-smelling personal fragrances. Alyssa Ashley’s Musk Oil, released in 1968, was a generational favorite that endures as a cult classic.
